Welcome Survivors of Medical Error
Medical Error is a major global health problem , it kills many thousands of innocent patients each year . It injures and incapacitates hundreds of thousands more.
Up to 98,000 Americans , and up to 18,000 Australian patients die each year as a direct result of avoidable medical injury.
By providing this Forum for the exchange of Information , Support and Personal Experiences , our aim is to not only help Victims and their family members through their unnecessary life-trauma , but to raise the public profile of Medical Error throughout the World, by advocating for the permanent reduction of the incidence of avoidable medical injury.
We gladly give public recognition to new and positive initiatives which aim to reduce Medical Error.
But we also draw shame to specific Health areas where improvements should be immediately addressed.
